| RELIGIOUS EDUCATION PROGRAM |
We
are very excited about this year of rebuilding for our Religious
Education program! We have revamped our RE curriculum and
hired
three professional, local-area teachers to present the material to our
children. Our teachers are also getting our children involved
in
mini-social actions each month, and are creating several activities
designed not only to involve our current class, but to attract new
children and their families to our congregation. It will be a
challenging year ahead, but we are confident that this will grow into
an amazing program!Our Goals
Mission Statement We, at the Unitarian Universalist Society in Stamford, will create a secure environment which enables each child to develop self-esteem, values and a sense of the worth and dignity of all people. We will present curricula and activities which will foster identification with the Unitarian Universalist purposes and principles, based on an understanding of our own and other religious values. To Parents Take time to
register your child. Whether you are an "old-timer" or brand new, your
child must be registered for the program each year. At this time you
will have the opportunity to share any pertinent information about your
child, such as allergies, special needs, etc. Click
here to download a registration form (MS Word format).
Registration forms are
also available in the Social Room. There will be no fees charged. (See
Funding) Children in the Nursery program must be picked up
by their parents immediately after class. Older children will be
escorted to the Social Room by their teachers after classes are
finished. Parents are responsible for their children's behavior during
coffee hour. Please support the efforts of your children and teachers by checking in with them regularly about classroom experiences. |
